Back up off me, I'm just doing my job!
If you watched the Golden Globes last Sunday, you may have raised your eyebrows a few times when the host--Ricky Gervais--crudely poked fun of people in the room. To call it rude, classless, or distasteful might be a little judgmental, don't you think? I mean, yeah, the whole Bruce Willis being Ashton Kutcher's dad is kind of wreckless, but wasn't it also pretty funny? Save the self-righteous talks, we all thought that whole Demi-Ashton-Bruce thing was sort of odd. And since when did Hollywood get so self-righteous about when it's okay to make light of things?

I thought Gervais was funny, calling out the elephants in the room, saying what everyone else is really thinking. Now there's this big deal that he'll never be asked to do it again. Somebody's feelings must be really hurt. Or are they?

In an interview with Natalie Portman with InStyle Magazine, she said "I was at a roundtable discussion with Amy Adam recently, and she said something very true: As an actress, you have to be [ . . .] thick-skinned because people will knock you down so much." Gervais was not a bad movie review, or a trash-talking tabloid that night. Do you really think people in that room were offended that night, or is this just another story to get us to pay attention to awards season and Ricky Gervais? Either way, in the battle of Gervais vs. The Hollywood Foreign Press, I'm on Team Gervais. Who's team are you on?
