I have to admit it: what I LOVE most about the entertainment industry is the connections you make.

Last weekend, I got to meet the Gem'n'i Twins - two gorgeous twin girls from London - who were in LA last weekend, working on a record with my music producer boyfriend.

I was floored by their talent, and even more by their modesty. By the time they left us, after three days, I was saying things like "quite," "mad," "cinema," and "good fun." We may have rubbed off on them too as I caught their manager saying "restroom" at one point instead of "toilet". Apparently, if you're too proper or old-fashioned, you refer to that as "very Victorian" (a.k.a. old school).

And when I wasn't cooking great American or Mexican dishes, I was thinking about how grateful I was to be working in an industry so collaborative and fun as this one. Life is all about loving what you are and the people around you.

Call me Victorian, but isn't that what life is all about.
